Satisfaction

Satisfaction

A Poem by Omily

I found myself in a reverie

Literally

Speaking slowly to a child

Not much younger than I.

Myself and I

Blinked in dazed unison

As I asked,

"Do you always need

Something to be wrong?"

In the future,

I hoped welcomed satisfaction

Would blow in with the breeze

In the past,

I realized,

It didn't matter when I asked the question.

The answer would never

Have changed.
