Tingle

Tingle

A Chapter by Omikron

Ah, yes-
That tingle,
The searing beneath charred skin,
The itch to tear the wound,
Into a gaping hole.

The tingle to rip the scab,
Unheal the healing,
Let it bleed,
Free and untamed-
The blood wrapping around me,
Like satin strings,
Burning crimson on the glass.

If I dared to look up,
I might catch your reflection,

Among the ruins.
