Short, Intense

Short, Intense

A Chapter by Omikron

It was short,
Intense.
Somewhere within the blanks,
I lost my common sense.

Bursting capillaries making amends
Suddenly you vanished with the evidence.

It was short,
Intense.

Built on a false pretence,
My everyday became a past tense
Silly notes, electric suspense
Your crooked smile, our song by Sixpence.

I swear, we must've happened
Because the pain is too immense
We were short,
Intense,
Just like this poem, it made sense
Every fluent, love-struck sentence
Painted love on tainted limerence -
Then it abruptly ends.
