Short, Intense

Short, Intense

A Chapter by Omikron

It was short,
Intense.
Somewhere within the blanks,
I lost my common sense.

Bursting capillaries making amends
Suddenly you vanished with the evidence.

It was short,
Intense.

Built on a false pretence,
My everyday became a past tense
Silly notes, electric suspense
Your crooked smile, our song by Sixpence.

I swear, we must've happened
Because the pain is too immense
We were short,
Intense,
Just like this poem, it made sense
Every fluent, love-struck sentence
Painted love on tainted limerence -

Then it abruptly ends.

Oh wow, what a powerful poem, Love can really make us feel different things at once.
It reflects on the feelings of loss and confusion that arise when such a relationship abruptly ends.

Word choice is evocative and emotional, with a mix of vivid imagery and abstract concepts. Words like "bursting capillaries," "crooked smile," and "electric suspense" convey strong visual and sensory experiences,..

Thanks for sharing this poem.
