When the Rain Stops

When the Rain Stops

A Poem by Omikron

But it always stops,
Those heavy drops -
Leaden bullets falling,
Heavy clouds crawling,
The mourning of summer,
The grief of a daughter,
As the troubles breed,
Yes, that is life indeed.

But it always stops,
Those heavy drops -
The rain that drowns you,
The weight that downs you,
Then the clouds scatter,
As the sunrays shatter,
The anguish you bear,
The darkness you wear,
Disappear in an instant,
And the clouds grow distant.

And so you travel,
Light as a petal
On the breeze.

Hi there,
Just read your review on another poets works and thought I would look you up.
I enjoyed your words but do not see it only as nature.
I find it to me full of metaphors for life, love and loss...and I love metaphors..Intended or just accidental.
