The Water will FlowA Poem by OmikronIf the water wants to flow, it will flow Whether through mountains or wet eyes, it will flow It will flow and it will merge into rivers, into oceans When it merges, it will flow into a graceful massacre It will flow in the speed of orcans and destroy what it pleases The drowning flow that turns drought to earth, earth to life For where life is supposed to be lived, the water will flow Where tears are supposed to be felt, the water will flow It will always flow as passionate in the Amazon as on my cheek And the flowing water in the oceans will always taste as salty as a tear If the water wants to flow, it will flow within us And if we want to flow with it, the water will carry us © 2018 Omikron |
