Just Listen

Just Listen

When we talk, we just want people to listen.

Just Listen

A woman was working on a project

Told her boss she came across an issue.

The boss gave advice and how to fix it,

Not waiting for the woman to explain that she already solved it.

The woman once talked to her friend

About working on buying a house.

The friend went off on ideas and advice on

How to get the house when the woman already bought one.

The woman was struggling with something for awhile

And went to her aunt for a cry.

The aunt told her to grow up, criticized her age,

And told her how to get over it when the issue was already resolved.

Miserable, the woman wandered around

Until she finally found someone that would

Just listen to her talk and not interrupt, not give her advice,

Not criticize her.  Just simply listen to her.

The boss, friend, and aunt one day began talking to the woman

Who soon interrupted them and gave them advice on what to do.

They later said when she was done, “I just want you to listen.”

The woman said, “Then go talk to a wall.  It won’t talk back.”

Author's Note

Omegax45
This goes out to all the people that just want to talk to someone and end up being brushed off by people that don't wait to hear the rest, then said people blame them when they are corrected.
