Freedom Has A PriceA Poem by Tiffany M. SinclairFor all the soldiers who have given their lives for our United States of America.
I wake up to this beautiful Country we call The USA,
I walk into the living room and turn the tv on and what do I see? Another soldier has lost a limb, a widow has lost her beloved, Walking down the street I look toward the cemetery and look into the eyes of a child and see the tears in his eyes as he kneels at his mothers grave. I think about, I think about my freedom, and then it hits me like a tidal wave Freedom has a price, freedom is not free, no oh no ooh no, Not by a long shot Freedom has a price, freedom is not free no, oh no, ooh no, not by a long shot Do we give enough time to thank a soldier? Do we give time to help the veterans? Do you stop to just think about the fact freedom has a price? Everyday, a wife loses part of her soul while waiting for her soldier to come home, Can you know how a spouse and a family endures such pain? Can you imagine their pain? Its like a tsunami hits, and! (x3) Whoa ooh, whoa ooh, whoa ooh, just stop, just stop and say thank you! (x3) I think about, I think about my freedom and then it hits me like a tidal wave Freedom has a price, freedom is not free, No, oh no ooh no, not by a long shot Freedom has a price, freedom is not free, No, oh no, ooh no, not by a long shot (x3) Whoa ooh, whoa ooh, whoa ooh, just stop, just stop and say thank you! Salute!
