My Fault

You know,

I'm not just shy.

I don't talk because I'm scared to.

I'm afraid I'm going to say something wrong.

Afraid to embarrass my family and draw attention.

I don't enjoy people noticing me.

I try to be better so nobody does.

I just want to curl up and disappear.

Constant anxiety,

Overwhelming depression,

Continuously building stress,

Sometimes, I want to speak, but I am stopped by these feelings.

For me, self-loathing is the result.

I just can't help but blame myself for this.

I feel it is my own fault

For what they called "social anxiety."

You know pretty much most of poets/writers suffer from social anxiety just that some are brave enough to wear a mask to match the patch of the society. This is something that i too had to encounter and i adore that you managed to put it in this lovely manner. Let your pen echo your voice and keep writing. Simple but lovely thoughts engraved.
About the title, you can call it Slave to Myself or Caged by My Thoughts.
