Death and RealizationA Poem by OlumegbonA loss can do so much to a person
Saw real tears at the casket's side,
No lies, A brother didn't wish to die, But heaven's gate waited impatiently, So he had no choice but to leave, That day our eyes turned red, Our lungs filled with nature's gift, Each man choked on his words, Had to keep the weak part a secret, His mother's wailing made our ears go sore, What will his siblings be told? First time an answer won't make sense, That moment, The world had no meaning, For vanity was our only pursuit, And my heart broke, As sorrow wrapped me, It's time for me to remain awake, And make memories instead. © 2015 Olumegbon
