Infertile Journey

Infertile Journey

A Poem by Olumegbon

The unexpected is now expected,
On a blind road not knowing where it leads,
With a bag of joy to share,
Lost travellers telling me sorrow is near,
Decreasing my hope in bliss,
Regardless i still persist,
Wish i never have to say it was stupid,
The journey that was initiated by cupid,
I still keep pushing
With the act to disappoint spectators,
My pace slowly reduces,
About to reach the peak but my legs are weak,
I was so adamant that i became less observant,
I've been bleeding from my back,
Right from the very start,
Multiple stab wounds to my spine,
I then realise the journey is an illusion,
There's never a companion's submission
So i retreat and crawl back into my shell,
Forgetting about the journey that is barren,
To join the lost travellers who are returning,
To the point we don't notice the infertile journey anymore.

Easy to find bad road and place.
"To join the lost travellers who are returning,
To the point we don't notice the infertile journey anymore."
