Departure

Departure

A Poem by Katarina Alyson Jolie
"

An original free-form poem You left me, and I cannot manage.

"
We had plans
We were going to
Travel the world together
But you chose to take a
Different path
I can't even talk
To you anymore
I call your cell phone
More often than
I probably should
But the only answer
Is your recorded message
I'm ashamed of the
Messages I have
Left for you but
I just don't understand
Didn't I make you
Happy enough
Or did you just need
More
I am left with so many
Questions now since
You left so
Rapidly
But the one question
That haunts me the most
Is how could you choose
Heroin over your wife
When you knew
You were already so
Close to death
