Flash Fiction

The Boy’s favorite thing to do was throw rocks. He liked to watch the ripples as they spread out and enveloped the whole pond. He’d been sitting on the moss covered rock for an hour, watching. He threw another rock, hard, and watched the water quake. It was the only evidence he’d ever impacted anything.

I used to do this as a boy......very vivid image! I'd like to think we can take this analogy to the here and now, and see how much we are impacting, or, on the contrary, how little we are impacting. Powerful contrast........
