Describing a MomentA Poem by Olivia MarieI was sitting outside, and chose to write this.
I find myself lost for words...
Such a moment of peace that can't be described With sunlight showering down through the atmosphere Bright light, but not yellow More white,... Pure The sun gazing down upon the Earth and bringing everything to life Flowers of every color Stretching themselves towards the nutrition A white tall one Unstained petals Opening... and then drooping down around itself A bright orange one Almost as if you took the inside of a citrus fruit and set it on fire Puffed up like a ball Consisting of a million tiny petals Making it look full and fluffy and then roses... Dark red, unwilted roses With dark brownish-green thorns along the deep-set green stem I look along the sky... Empty,... Painted in a beautiful baby blue The sun,... Hidden behind the arms of a tree The tree is older then I am and will outlive us all Dark bark worn as skin like scaly wrinkles Compacted along it's chest It's arms reaching up and out Always starving, and begging for more sunlight Blooming into a thousand colors All shades of green With yellows peaking out too Light igniting their beauty With the highs and lows With shadows and blossoms Grabbing, grasping, and breathing every ray of sunlight I can hear a bird... far away singing a four note tune Over and over Not sharp nor flat Somewhere right above Middle C and I'm stuck with my paper and a pencil Wondering how I could ever describe a moment like this to anyone...
