A Poem by Olivia Marie
"

Another love poem. (Stud M. Note Book) :)

This

Hair hanging in strands down my face
And  I’ve pulled my knees into a ball
there I sit thoughtless and waiting
Waiting for nothing and everything
When my sides tingle with a touch
And I feel my weight falling upward
I recognize the hands on my side
But I still jump in recognition
And I focus in on your deep eyes
As yours find there way to mine
Then you pull me gently into your arms

We stand there wrapped around each other
I can feel your heartbeat against mine
So I pull you closer to me
Like a blanket in the snow around a little girl
And I can feel your every movement
Gentle as a butterfly’s kiss
But strong as a lasting foundation
Our hearts connect, and everything else stops
You’re all that matters
And here I am standing with you
So you tell me, could it be
Any better then this

How are you 15? You write like at least a senior. Take it as a very high compliment from me. The line about hearts connecting and everything else stopping is generic. Your only flaw in this whole thing. SPaG is impeccable.

So cute! Almost like a short story, but your beautiful descriptions and similes make is an excellent poem. The last line lingers, makes me want more! Great job!

You have a strong foundation of imagery for someone just starting, dear poet :) You paint lovely words on canvass! And welcome to the cafe if you haven"t been here long :)
