Walk the Grey

Walk the Grey

A Poem by Rose Downing
"

I've been attempting to write spiritual poetry for some time now. Here's my best shot at it so far.

"
We are a bat out of hell riding this divine spark.
Made of clouds and brimstone. Sin and grace.
Everything is good and bad made of both light and dark.
Everything fits and all has it's place.
So don't try to be perfect. That's not how to fit in.
To a world that is your only home.
I'm not saying give up on good and follow your sin.
Just if you fail, your not alone.

Another concept that you have a finger on. You are a very intelligent, inciteful human being and very able to communicate your true thoughts. Marvelous! You have a way with words. "Bat out of Hell," was my mother's favorite expression. You would have loved her because she would have looked at you, patted you on the head and told you to: "Get a smile on your face!"
This poem is TRULY spiritual!

Nice work. This is a piece of work that should be put in greeting cards. Would Hallmark really buy it though?

Wow this is amazing! I like the line, "So don't try to be perfect. That's not how to fit in."
I can relate to it and I'm sure many others could as well.
