Moonlit AvenueA Poem by Oliver FreeThis poem holds special meaning to me, as it's one I wrote for a special someone. I hope you enjoy. On a certain moonlit avenue, of which many things are new, my eyes strayed towards one thing, and that one thing was you. On a certain moonlit avenue, where all the people are oh-so-blue, one thing stood out from the others, and that one thing was you. On a certain moonlit avenue, where you and I both grew, one thing left and the other stayed, and that one thing was you. On a certain moonlit avenue, my reasons for staying are quite few. But there was one thing I could never let go, and that one thing was you.
