Around the Corner

Around the Corner

A Poem by Oliver Free
"

A story of unrequited love.

"
I lived around the corner
From you for twelve years.
I was the one you knew,
But at the same time,

You knew nothing about me.

I don't blame you for not knowing
Who it was that kept you warm
When all of the time it was snowing.

We would pass each other a lot,
But no words were spoken.
I couldn't help but think
Maybe I was just broken?

You were always smiling with your friends,
But here I was, all alone.

I lived around the corner
From you for twelve years.
I was the one you knew,
But at the same time,

You knew nothing about me.
