Doppleganger

Doppleganger

A Poem by Meghan
"

Purely the remnants of several dreams I've had.

"

I walk the streets of night

Lamp-lit sallow face

Vigilant

And curious

I only ever once

Saw my own face

From my own eyes

Inside, the frightening realization

Of an omen

Irreconcilable

With the red-colored chalk

I drew a door

Red, red satin to my fingertips

With the blue

I don't remember the blue

Just the rust-colored stairs

Don't make me know these dreams

I hate these lucid lies
