Travelling by Car

Travelling by Car

A Poem by Meghan
"

In response to a prompt. I used to have frequent nightmares of driving, I assume because I used to be terrified of the concept.

"

Some semblance of psychosis

A surreptitious instilment

Incapacitated, sleeping noisily

Red light streaming

Under full-bellied eyelids

Brimming with whitewash dream stuff

Lead-foot beacon

By which to surpass

Grinding

Along wavelength axes

Belying

Surreality

I’m set to fester

In this incongruous nightmare

Tell a story or control the flow... if YOU set the meaning - then set it where you want it... don't ask the audience, they might tell you.

But you left out - "Are we there yet?!?"
