Body and Mind

Body and Mind

A Poem by Meghan
"

I don't remember writing this, nor do I remember what it's about, specifically.

"

It’s a breaking of bonds

Between body and mind,

A severing of ties,

Thick, sticky shame

Conjoined no further

Than my skin and insides.

The difference is intent,

Whose spoils belie

An attachment pure

Of attention and pride.
