Eternal DamnationA Poem by MeghanI wrote this in response to the prompt, "A Demon's Fate." I relied on the idea (I can't remember if it's biblical or philosophical) that some are destined for eternal salvation, while others are not.Among us there are those Blessed with eternal salvation, And others who slip inaudibly Through the cement sidewalk cracks Beneath the clicking Of ignorant heels, And still others Whose teeth are bared In grimaces as though fish hooks Perforate their throats And spill out their mouths like fangs: The eternally damned. © 2012 MeghanAuthor's Note
