Mary is kidnapped and is writing her side of the story

I have never thought of writing my own personal journal, haven't really had much time for it, too much work, although being locked up in this cell makes me want to write down my mistakes and regrets. Why would they want to kidnap a biological engineer? I don’t get it; it baffles me, and for what, too keep me locked up in this cell forever? I guess there is nothing to do except wait until something happens, and for all I know it could be years until they decide to use me for whatever they are keeping me in here for. I work with biological engineering, along with a large team of scientists; we were trying to figure out a solution to our breathing problems on behalf of the foundation, ever since the ACD was raised it helped us breathe, but not without its issues, it strains our molecular structure causing lower life expectancy and very serious cellular mutations, any sane scientist could tell you that a proper replacement needs to be found, and quickly, our race will quickly become extinct because of the ACD, if nothing is done, but the foundation want to keep it a secret, they feed the people lies and false trust, in a desperate effort to conceal the terrible truth, but what I cannot figure out is why people are disappearing, I wonder if those kidnapped people are in the same situation as me, locked up, being fed some weird vitamin and protein mush. But I have noticed a pattern in all these kidnapping cases, no average civilians are being kidnapped, only educated people and individuals with special abilities, like fitness instructors, military sergeants, scientists, weapons experts and other people with special knowledge, but yet it makes no sense, what are they going to do with fitness instructors? It riddles me, and the weird thing is, homeless people have also gone missing, and absolutely no eye witnesses, they just vanish, into nothing, smack in the middle of a mega city containing over 20 million people, it almost makes my head explode, it cannot be the foundation, they already have thousands of scientists at their disposal, I wonder if there is intelligent life on this planet, other than us humans, no proof supports that, but who knows, maybe there is something lurking in those huge forests, after all we have only discovered about 10 percent of Faint, so there is a strong possibility that suggests that MAYBE there is other intelligent life on this planet, for now, I'm just going to eat my green mush and hope for the best.
