PrayerA Poem by David Fieldlong story behind this oneMake me new, clean and whole And bring me back to your favored side I want to be seen in a good light by you Please do not your face from me hide.
In your house I do long to serve But the pressures of life keep getting me down I long to be encouraged by those in my hall Though they don’t know me, they call me the clown.
They assume I’m something other than this I’ve slipped in a coma and cannot recover Please, now, show me your ways And point me in the direction to discover.
Guide me to a place where I will be loved And shown it with all the days go by Bring me to life again as only you can So that I no longer need to sit alone and cry. © 2010 David Field |
