MILES

MILES

A Poem by Pash
"

Sometimes it's distance that kills a romantic relationship

"
She put out her heart for me,
I took it, fragile so i caged it,
Like diamonds protected within laval walls of a mountain,
Her beauty stretched beyond my eyes, she overtook my entire system and stayed in my soul,
Love, the feeling that took me overseas then to outta space,
The wave that discovered the man in me,
The spark that grew into a bonfire, the warmth that made me home,
All her,
The strikes of passion that was written on her smile,
Sometimes I'd find myself wondering how we came to be,
Coz with her "me" could roam free,
No longer stressed to impress,
Like she was made just for me,
With her the spaces of doubt in my mind would fade,
And her magically beautiful face would paint itself in,
Just to guide me through the day and calm me at night,
"Am yours," she said,
"I know."
"I know too."
"Take me with you."
"You're already here, completely in my heart"
"I know."
Now she's taken by the other city,
The miles that separate us injects an awful pity,
A few more months the knot that tie us together loosens,
The days seems longer, the gray crawling back in,
"I miss you"
"Me too"
Then nostalgia kicks in,
Now this love reeks of torture, that which reminds me how bad i wanna see her,
Kiss her again by the waterfall,
Hold her hands so she won't fall,
My nights solemn,
More months, i'm breaking,
It's too much for my taking,
"Me too"
The orange sun is setting, so far away like the space between us two.
I remember our last conversation,
Then the separation.
