It's You

It's You

A Poem by Pash

I may look like an open book,
But my thoughts are far hidden inside the wraps of my brain,
I may smile when sandwiched by pain,
And laugh in the middle of a pouring rain,
Behind my eyes are ghastly horrors of my head's own design,
Still I stand tall,
For your memory is a beauty with a rating I can't decide,
Seeing you smile gives me the reason to live another day,
You're a glitter inside a soul that's so grey,
A beauty wrapped in stripes,
A marvel and a cheer of a dull heart,
You are who you are,
So graciously priceless in my world that sting and hurt,
To you I wanna write,
In this moment where only perfect memories linger,
To you I wanna sing,
In the rhythm of the evening breeze that sails along a lovely tune you trigger,
To you I wanna dance,
With my two left feet and still feel alright,
I wanna do all the little things you miss,
To make those dimples embrace your soft cheeks,
I want you to know beyond doubt,
You're special.

-- this is very beautiful and poetic... i loved all the images but especially the idea of dimples embracing cheeks... and it's so heartfelt... so genuine... ~ very lyrical poetry...

This poem is very well crafted. The way you used imagery to convey both sorrowful and loving tones was amazing. I also loved your use of repetition at the end. Good job.
