Blinding Chains

Blinding Chains

A Poem by Okie

"
I'm blinded by your absence
Wishing you'd come back.
I'm bound by your chains
That holds me where I now stand.
I can't see your face
For I've forgotten what I saw.
You're never coming back
You left me here to by myself.
I haven't seemed to figure out why you left
Nor have I figured out why I'm still here.
Your chains get tighter on my neck
But they never loosen for me.
I don't know what to say anymore
Then again what is there to say?
Completely nothing to say
Other than me dying from these chains.
I can't leave my place
Until you get back to me.
To save me forever
From myself and this world.
I started to fade
To just a thought in your mind.
You forget that I'm still here
Waiting for you to help me.
