Beyond Human

Beyond Human

A Poem by Czarina
"

Something I wrote when I learned about trans humanism. I don't really believe such a thing is entirely possibly, but of course I had to think "what if?..."

"
"Everyone deserves to be
Immortal beings, that's fair

Living flesh is designed to
Fail and rot anyway

So from now onwards,
With science on our side

No one will never, ever
Ever have to die"

Isn't it amazing?
I sat by your bedside
The future is knocking
Hold your breath longer

Humans will become
A reinforced species
Still living, still breathing,
With hollow metal heartbeats

Before your body
Consumes your own soul
You can replace it, erase it
You only need your mind

You and I can live on
An artificial millennium
Never knowing gray hairs
We'll keep our colors

Everyone must comply, eternity guaranteed
Everyone must transform so we can all succeed
But by the time the release date came into act

It was too late
You already died...

What better way to cheat your death
Than to upload your soul into a microchip
Though you passed into heaven's gates
Its much more fun to live on in this life

The afterlife is blocked by a firewall
If you're nothing more than a rebooted face
But all ends well, a leap for mankind
Since I'm still me

Live on humanity

Years roll by in hundreds
No one has died since
Still thriving, arriving
Trillions of us here

I still remember
Your flesh and blood face
So pretty, so dirty
Very inhumane

No need for eating
Unable to get sick
We are invincible
New and improved

The soul is flexible
You can be anything
The children switch bodies
Its all fun and games

But the longer humans live their lives in unfeeling shells
But the more greed that rises out of their computer hearts
No one remembered how it felt to be flesh or not

How do we know
Who's the AI?

What better way to cheat your death
Than to make yourself into a lasting software
Billions pile up in skyscrapers
That I believe can reach you beyond the sky

We make dreams in the cyber space
Yet somehow not everyone is satisfied
But all ends well, you've got your time
You can't kill me

Live on humanity

Who knew living longer could be so boring?
Who thought never dying could be depressing?
Were humans even meant to stay here long?
No, I don't feel at home at all

Who knew humans could be blindly selfish?
Who knew eternity could be so terrifying?
What do you think, the last one who died?
Isn't this right for the good of us?

The goal was irony
Humans are no more

What better way to cheat your death
Than to corrode to something like a virus
Forgive us God, for trying to be like you
It would be nice to have you rebuild us yourself

System shutting down, its over now
Are there any left of the real humanity?
Sorry I kept you waiting centuries
But here's the real me

The end, humanity
