Insanity

A Chapter by GodsOfNeutrality

"What did you say?" he asked looking at me angrily.
"I said I'll play with you," I said taking off my tie and held it out in front of me.
"Did that kick knock a few screws loose in your head?"
"I could ask you the same thing," I said, laughing.
He walked up to me scowling. "I thought you'd be smarter than that." He drew back his arm, ready to throw a punch.
I sighed before head-butting him in the nose. He stumbled back and I quickly wrapped my tie around his neck. "That was mildly entertaining. I was hoping it would be more fun."
I turned back to the guys holding the girl. "Can you guys let her go? I don't think your friend will last long without oxygen." I looked down at the guy who was clawing at the tie trying to get it off. I looked back at the guys, but noticed one was missing. I sighed.
"Where did he go?" I heard footsteps behind me and smiled.
I dropped his friend as he reached around my neck. I turned to look back at him. "Shh, someone's trying to sneak up on me."
I grabbed his arm, flipping him over my shoulder. His body hit the ground hard and I placed my foot on his chest, twisting his arm. The other guy was coughing trying to breath again.
"I'm only gonna say this one more time. Let her go and help your friends," I said twisting his arm out his shoulder.
The other guy dropped the girl and ran at me. I smiled before picking up his friend. He threw a punch which I used his friend to block. I dropped him before dodging his next punch. I laughed and he threw me a dirty look. He threw another punch and I leaned back to dodge. He then brought his leg up to dropkick me. I rolled to the side and stood up.
"You got my clothes dirty," I said frowning. "Plus you guys suck at fighting individually. How about three on one? And since I broke one of your guys' arms, I won't use my right hand."
They grouped together. The leader was still coughing, but he threw me a dark look. I smiled tauntingly. They all ran at me, with the leader in the front and the other two flanking me. The leader threw a punch and I grabbed his forearm with my left. I spun elbowing him in the nose with my right. I turned using my momentum to throw him into the guy on my left then ran at the guy on my right. It was the guy whose arm I broke. He punched with his only good arm. I sidestepped before kicking him into the others.
"I guess I win," I said walking over to them sighing. "This is boring. If you guys want to fight again, bring backup." I grabbed the leader by the neck. "But next time don't harass anyone from my school again. You won't survive if I fight seriously." I let go of him smiling psychotically.
I went to check on the girl. She was pale, with black hair and hazel eyes. I helped her up and dusted her off.
'You can have control back. I'm done for today.' The red faded from my eyesight and felt myself regain control.
"Are you okay?" I asked her.
She nodded but didn't look me in the eye.
I laughed slightly. "I wouldn't look someone like me in the eyes either. You should be okay now," I grabbed my bag and started walking. I only took a few steps before she grabbed the back of my shirt.
"Can I at least know your name?" she asked quietly.
I hesitated. A thousand thoughts ran through my  mind before I remembered what I promised myself three years ago. I wouldn't trust anyone again, I couldn't bring myself to do it. But for some reason, she made me feel like I could tell her. As if she understood the pain I felt. So I put myself on the line again.
"I'm Blayze White. Freshman."
"I'm Ayah Evaleen. I think I'm in your class," she let go of me and I turned back to face her.
"Do you want me to walk you home?" I was already out my comfort zone, might as well risk it all.
"I don't feel safe at home alone."
"I don't think I can help you with that."
"I could stay with you," she covered her mouth as if she spoke without realizing it.
My mind gave up at that. It was one thing I was even talking to her, but taking her to my house was something else. My mind kept reminding me of Anna but I brushed it aside. It won't end up like that.
"That's fine," I said.
She smiled and I felt the wall I put up crack a little.
