HunterA Chapter by GodsOfNeutrality
The last truck pulled up to my uncle's house.
"Hunter help them bring in the stuff!" My uncle yelled from an open window. "And put on a coat! It'll be snowing for a while!" "I'm fine!" I yelled back. The snow didn't bother me. In jeans and a t-shirt, i felt fine. A storm always happens around me. Back home in Greece, the weather was always changing so I was glad for the change. The moving guys opened the back of the truck and started unloading. I picked up a few boxes and brought them inside. I went back outside to see one struggling with the last box. "I got it thanks." I took it from him and effortlessly lifted it over my head. He shook his head and muttered something before getting the rest of the crew in the truck to leave. "Aren't you cold?" A girl stood at the sidewalk, her blue eyes sparkling when she saw me. Next to her was a boy with brown eyes. I was 6' 1" but he stood a few inches over me. "No." The truck drove off. I tapped my foot feeling the snow crunch under it. "No need to be rude." The boy looked uncomfortable being there. "I don't have time for this." "I'm Sam and this is Torina." "I didn't ask." She laughed and smiled. "Welcome to the neighborhood. You'll be interesting to have around..." "Hunter." "We'll see you around then." She said walking away. The boy glared at me for a second then followed her. I gave a slight smile. Maybe I'd enjoy America a little. © 2017 GodsOfNeutrality |
