A Slave Of The Ocean

A Slave Of The Ocean

A Poem by Ohhhwillow
"

28/1/13 Time is deceiving, gone before you know it

"
The tide swings high,
An acrobat without implication,
It holds no remorse for air it defies
As the clock does for me
With it's clutching hands that permit my pathetic plunder
Under scarlet waves.

I surrender,
I sink but still float with no remote wave
To grant me salvation.

Kind winds offer ripples
But still I'm a slave of the ocean,
Paralytic by kelp arms that tie mine down
With a satirical smile,
Immortally swinging around me.

Time is tender
And with it we render the writings on our final bed

Beautiful in its words and depth in meaning. There's is a sense of beauty and aggression in your words. It's quite attractive to the reader's view. Wonderful piece.

Very well done - very powerful - I agree with you- find beauty in such danger.

My pleasure
the imagery in this was awesome! It reminds me of the time i was at the beach and it was storming. Bad idea, i know, but watching the waves stirring up was pretty in its own dangerously destructive way.

Agreed, aren't we all so consumed by trivialities? It always seems to be one step ahead. Thank you!
