Walls

Walls

A Poem by The Girl Who Loved Too Much
"

A poem written ten years ago. I've come a long way since then.

"

It's cold and it's dark,

In this place that I hide,

I've built up these walls,

I let no-one inside,

I want to break free,

But I don't know where to go,

I've built up these walls,

So no-one would know,

The pain in my heart,

Is growing rapidly,

I've built up these walls,

So no-one would see.

If I could just tell you,

Would you love me the same?

I've built up these walls,

I've got no-one else to blame.

Some day I will step outside,

Feet planted firmly on the ground,

I've built up these walls,

And I will be the one to knock them down.
