Volcanic Eruption

A volcanic eruption spews from your lips,

residue of ash on your fingertips,

just like the lava that covers the ground,

my insides are covered as your words trickle out.

A wave of emotions come over me,

the measurement would be 3 oceans deep,

imagine a ship being lost at sea,

pushed and pulled, yet having no sails to heave.

Somehow along the way, 

You used your words to get your way, 

and before the lava could even cool,

you were back, to the same old you.

I tried to pull the water from my tears, 

I've saved up plenty after all these years, 

But the memories you left in my head, 

Rushed back to me and I remembered again. 

No matter what you say or do, 

You will always remain you, 

No matter how much you will never see, 

The damage you have done to me.
