Take flight

Not the best but im tired of this one being unpublished.

A wingless bird takes flight, 

as it flutters to a setting sun, 

in the middle of an august night, 

that one would think the darkness had overcome,

the clouds had vanished ,

and the bird still could not see,

that no matter how long it flew, 

it would simply never reach its destiny.

So with the wind to its back, 

it trys again and again,

still as determined as when it had began,

he hadn't made it much further, 

that he could finally see, 

but he thought to himself, 

if I do not try I will never be.

So with one last leap of faith, 

he springs up with all his might, 

ready to embark on his adventure,

and get back on with his life, 

the horizon was getting closer, 

it may be in his grasp, 

but the wind picked up, 

and blew him off his path.

You have some great lines in this, but I think the word 'wingless' takes away from the meaning. Valentine

Its meant to not make sense, it's a nonsense sentence. A wingless bird certainly can not fly. That is the message here.

Pretty good, the font and structure fits the mood. It may not "be the best", but it's still not bad at all. You underestimate yourself, Snappy! DON'T!!!

Ill take it lol, thanks for your feedback. I wanted this to come out completely different. Full of nonsense verses.. Kinda like that poem about 2 dead boys.. Not sure if you are familiar with it. Maybe ill try again another time :)
