Master this art of dialogue written
Pen so seductive pages smitten
Vociferous written prose
Addiction indeed I need a dose
Cannot deny the words before me
Inspiration comes from above me
Setting this notion in stone
Writers block leave me alone
Many poets come & go
Take a seat lets start the show
Show & tell reveal the string
Bonded for life a new beginning
Poetry whether verse or rhyme
We take the ridiculous to the sublime
Love of words this passion flows
This rush of blood continues to grow
Whether orated or whether sung
Let's me breathe like a third lung
Poetry is the only release
Riveting as war & peace
Befitting of the wise old sage

A spoken word can never retreat
