I wrote this as my son was finding it hard to decide which path to take....

Stand up young man be counted
And never lose your stride
A life outside is cold and harsh
You must never be deprived

Stand up young man Please find your voice, 
silence has never mattered
For a world that's full of choices
Don't leave your dreams in tatters

Please stand up proud
Your built for social stature
Don't hide away and not be brave
Its your feelings so they matter

Stand up young man and take a bow
Cause someone knows the feeling
But unlike you they shy away 
There words are not appealing

Stand up young man, please take the steps
Towards your new heights and adventures
A life created many hills
They have been left for the pretenders

Stand up young man
Know the difference you can make
Look at the life you have created
The rest is yours take.........
