Dinner With The Devil

Dinner With The Devil

A Poem by Marissa Letterio
"

Some wild dream inspired stuff

"

The red clock burns to the east
As the fire calls upon the west
No one will ever know the beast
Until they’ve known the guest

Justice is served at the feast
As demons wear their Sunday best
Not until all chatter has seized
Does the guest sit at his rest

Spirits of joy smile to the high
As disdain reigns among the low
Souls of old at the table did lie
They soon would reap what they have sown

The north will turn their heads and shy
As greedy eyes shine from down below
The guest warns they dare not defy
As southern looks remain in glow

Dinner is served no ordinary meal
They barter for souls at house number 9
South will plead for bargain or steal
As north searches for intervention divine

The holy will wait for the guest to deal
Demonic patience grown thin to a line
At his request the party would kneel
All to be handed a contract to sign

Clearly stated on paragraph 2
On page number 333
One soul to a person’s subdue
No matter what your nature be

The prime mourned the loss of the few
While the evil found decent the decree
Fair is fair through and through
Figured the guest to a tolerable degree

Well for starters, I love music and I love a good movie even more. When Im not caught up in some self initiated Photoshop project you can probably find me watching a campy horror film and.. more..
