The Answer (to your prayers)A Poem by Marissa LetterioIts more so an interesting tale than an actual belief
Recently I’ve been asking Yes I too ask “why?” Pleading to the heavens I pray to god and cry Last night he sent me something That I have to share But surely you won’t believe me Oh no you wouldn’t dare This something was an angel And he sat upon my bed This angel spoke in rhyme And this is what he said Life is baring down Hell is creeping up These margins they blur As blood fills the cup You see it in the hills Four men riding horses One behind the next It’s too late to join forces Thousands of times over They’ve said it in the news Everyone has heard it once But it’s apathy you choose The skies will bleed With one billion voices Everyone is pleading “why?” But it was all your choices Sickness then absence Absence then war Chaos in the streets A blood bath galore Death will ride next Like nothing you’ve seen Gray emptiness follows His face unseen Terrorists, rapists And maniacs astray Everyone is so surprised But it happened every day As the waters run with fire And benzene rides the wind God will point his finger down And smite the ones who sinned He will cure the cancer Inflicted on this earth He will find the answer And that will be rebirth
