Breath Fire, Rise Higher

Breath Fire, Rise Higher

A Poem by Marissa Letterio
"

A poem dedicated to a friend, a bit more personal than structural.

"

Every time I fall.

I rise higher

Every time I die.

I breath fire.

I cannot die.

For I am life.

I cannot die.

I am the scythe

I do not laugh

at death you see

I talk to him

like you and me

for I have seen

It everyday

We die more

than people say

Think now

little friend

bleed not

mind bend

Death is not a skeleton

nor a beast within a hood

Death is learning all the things

That we really should

Regret not

your worst endeavor

it was fate with you

forever and ever

It will hurt

for a while

it will scar

and sting like bile

But fear not

for you have earned

a lesson that

few have learned

I heard you say

that all will hurt you

that you decide

who is worth you

I understand now

what you mean

But i have not

seen what you've seen

I just pray

that you are peaceful

I prospect seeming

somewhat ill-fateful

Well for starters, I love music and I love a good movie even more. When Im not caught up in some self initiated Photoshop project you can probably find me watching a campy horror film and.. more..
