So DifferentA Poem by OdayinIt's all so different, Everything we ever did, Nothing compares to you, We've been friends since we were kids. You had an incredible impact on my soul, My personality has been shaken and shocked, I'll let you in on the secret of my change, I'll open those doors that've been locked.
You were always my companion, Often standing at my side, I've tried to find a replacement, But it's to myself I've lied. The lights seem dimmer, The inner glow dying, They seem to have lost their lust, Or maybe my mind's just lying.
But why is it all so different? Is it you, or is it all me? Your absence has triggered something, And now I'm not anything I want to be. I stay away from ancient tasks, Usually just lie in bed, Like i said, things are different now... Now that you're dead... © 2012 OdayinFeatured Review
