Always.

Always.

A Story by Maddie
"

This is my basic and yet simple way of...you'll see. This might mean different things to everyone.

"

The person’s pace remained normal and quiet. They made no noise, except for the occasional off beat sound their feet made against the concrete. They felt the warmth of the environment, but yet the cold still bitterly stung at their nose.

They continued their walk, the cold slowly starting to overcome the warmth, but they didn’t stop. They continued the silent walk. The person walked on for a while, the cold soon becoming agonizing, but they never stopped. Never.

The moments and presence of time showed through, based on the low and weary ache that ran throughout the person’s legs. They could see their breath, and they could stop if they wanted too. But they didn’t.

The ache wore on, but it was replaced with a new sensation. Warmth. The cold slowly began to flinch away, starting from the smallest parts of the person’s body, until their body as a whole felt the warm sensation. The person smiled, but did not stop walking. They never stopped walking, because they knew that when there comes cold there is always warmth. Always.
