Falling Apart

Falling Apart

A Poem by Mary E. Green

There are no words left to say

And no tears left to shed

The happiness ebbs like the tide coming ashore

Take away my being, take away my life

My heart is torn

My soul; battered

Too many losses
And too many close calls

I can't stand the thought of losing another

There's just so much I can't handle

I try seeing the light but there's always a cloud

How can I see myself out when it seems

Everything else is falling apart

Much better flow to this version. I think you got it right and you express your emotions very well.

Sounds like a person on the edge of depression, so hard to fight back this time of year. Keep moving, working and smiling, evne though the smile might be fake. Well written, and it has some tweaks before it is really a great work.
