Ever Eyes Shut

Ever Eyes Shut

A Chapter by Octob3r Star

Ever Eyes Shut

Legless and congested

I walk with every stayed fabric

Into an everyday, invested

Gone into some-sorta trance

Twisted-round my intuition

Laid broken, this romance

Belligerents- deposition

Written so ever gently

Modest, yet incidentally

Dramatic

Charismatic and I;

Can’t believe this is actually happening

Digging deeper, finding an accident

Granted, I stayed-way this event

Ever eyes shut

Longing for some shade, under any tree

That would have me, so beautifully

Broken, and it was I who stayed there

And it was I who gave prayer

Ever eyes, to ever stare

Alone, into some empty distance

Ever so

Contemplating my entire existence

Only never to let go

Never to find, what keeps this bind,

Ever so longing, what’s never belonging,

Pains in my gut

Ever eyes hopeful, Ever eyes open

Ever eyes shut.

The last two stanza's really stood out to me. I mean the whole thing is amazing. I think its super awesome you right poems in a book like form...with chapters a such. Telling a story. Reminds me alot of the band Coheed and Cambria, who wrote a story with lyrics and music etc... anyway great read man. Can't wait for more.

I quite enjoyed this. What I loved it that is just seemed to go from one thing to the next but still kept all together. I also liked thee story in this and the depth it seemed to hold.

That's great stuff! I love the lack of permanence. specially after the last piece this allows for the unknown...
also reminds me of Eternal Sunshine...
"How happy is the blameless vestal's lot!
The world forgetting, by the world forgot.
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!
Each pray'r accepted, and each wish resign'd;"

You make it your own
I'll be waiting for the next piece....

I enjoyed this poem. Open the door to many questions. Life lead us in many directions. We can go in blind or desire to know where we are going.
"Broken, and it was I who stayed there
And it was I who gave prayer"
I like the strong ending to this poem. Thank you for sharing your powerful thoughts and poetry.
