Last writing in the Fourth Session: Eventually

I Do

 

A reflection in the window, still,

Soaked- cross the wood, frame

My soul into yours- will,

Anew this last name, I do.

 

Your life without mine,

Every fight that’s learned, true

I’ll drink, share the blood wine

It’ll be, with you

 

…and I do, from the bottom of my heart

With its tapestry of art, I do.

In the time that’s passed laws

From the love that once was, I do

…I do.

 

There’s laughter all around, your

Hearts, always been- in the right place,

You’re all I’ll ever look for

Your nothing, I could replace, I do.

 

This life without, your-own,

Never dreamt of it- differently

In beauty, how our loves shown

Derived, from it gently

 

…and I do, from the bottom of my soul

In the eyes of my own, I do

With the joy that’s been ours

From the love that’s held scars, I do

…I do.

 

…and I won’t, hurt or inflict you,

Only love, I’ll shower and you’ll see

I swear to always come through

With this ring, “Will you marry me?”

Will you?

 

Baby, will you marry me?
