Children of the Future

A Chapter by Octob3r Star

Children of the Future

If in the end.
I just wanna be the gateway,
Gainsay, for someone else to live, lives,
Strives, I was never meant to fulfill.

Myself, as if this was ever a conquest.
As if this was only, not meant to be.
Some call this suicide, diligently.

Would I be found so criminally…
Sacrificing, my heart for two, to cherish, theirs.
To parish, for them too grow together?

I can’t quite say, what sways my hearts decay,
Though, if you looked at the moon lately,
Crazily, it’s shifting at a different motion,
In it’s emotion, and I’m scared.
Prepared for, the if‘s, and everything else,
That comes along with this.

Shift.

In time, that’s never mine.
What’s never yours, what’s only meant to be,
That maybe someone, somewhere,
Would have to sacrifice, differently.
Intently less convenient, than placing coins in a can.
That no man, would ever find more difficult.

I’m talking about an end. A beginning,
A mount of giving, and receiving,
Where overdraft fees, and greed,
Are only read in fairy-tales.

On someone else’s desk, in a notebook,
Bound in common secret, in a voice,
You never listened too.

At a time, in a future,
Where no child commits suicide.
Where no religion is amendable,
Where no president is an icon.

When no dream, is left behind.
When individuals without vision;
are far from blind.
