Change in Plan

Change in Plan

Sun sets, at the edge of the world.
Leaving me, suspended while I wait for you.
Playing cards, with a drink in my hand.
No better man with self-gratitude, then I am.

As I wait for my place in the night,
That's different, then the rags on my body, so young;
mother, with no taste or sight.
No desire for a better song, unsung.

Still ungrateful, I traveled through the world and time
To find myself, and he said, "Hi."
"I traveled to the ends of the world," I said.
"Found, I'm missing nothing, but my playing cards,
my money, with no drink in my hand."
His reply, "Now do you understand..?"
"That maybe it's time, to sway away from this life.
For some change, some chance that never began.
To withstand, some crime,
Against our family, and I,
His reply,
"Would be to ask God, how's it goin'?
...and why?"

So, in the sky, where I did fly,
(Where he was supposed to be)
Maybe if I had a pocket-book,
O' lord maybe if I had money.
If I gave my tithing’s, would I then;
be worthy of a grateful life?
Just to live, all over again?

In reality, only to get out my ink pen,
and write. God...

I've wasted for a taste of my life.
Grateful, for the rags on my body.
Still young, had a mother,
with a drink in her hand.
Since then, God,
 had a change-in-plan.

"Still young, had a mother,

Sometime the above lines are the peace for a man. Peace in drink when life is failing. Thank you for the excellent chapter.
