Forget Me Not

Forget Me Not

A Chapter by Octob3r Star

Forget Me Not

To make illusion out of empty paper

Was such a desire, the endless ink

Layered pinnacle to their emptiness

This cold morning was brought into being

Hosted these strange places and so constituted it with their despondency.

Then lead was forged with an eraser

To hide truth amongst the real stories

Was scratching, smudging thought with reason

As each lonely boat, floated out into the ocean

Where exhausted; their souls drained into legend

Emptiness grew as the children questioned

For where are our brothers and sisters?

Mocking birds echoed as t-shirts became suits

Houses became condos and in the mean while;

Hope still warned us by light fracturing through our Victorian windows

It was there, out of anything left minded

That their mentality was considered

Remembered as they then knew they weren't broken;

But forgotten

What I really like is the deleted word - Great. A sort of work in progress...
Good ideas well written.

The last stanza really makes you think. Life you never know where it is going to take you and what is going to happen. Most lessons in life aren't pleasant but are needed and in the mean time don't let those lessons be forgotten.

It made me kind of think.. Of how since the population is growing.. How more compact communities, houses, and individuals are becoming. Good write.
