I know I'll never get the appology that you owe me. 

I've accepted that. 

But I know that I'm better because of it. 

I actually owe you a thank-you.

You taught me so many things. 

You taught me how to forgive. 

How to forgive myself. 

How to forgive without an appology. 

How to move on. 

You taught me that I can be Okay. 

You taught me that I don't need you. 

You taught me that life hurts, but you have to get up and move on. 

You taught me to work through the hurt and the trauma. 

You taught me just what I'm made of. 

Just how strong I am. 

Just how brave I am.

Just how kind I am. 

Just how much I can take. 

You taught me the kind of man to look for, 

and what kind of man to look out for. 

You taught me how to breathe on my own. 

You taught me that friendships are more important that a partner. 

You taught me so many things. 

So while I'll never get the appology you owe me:

Thank you. 

Because thats all I will ever owe you.

Nice!!!! I like how you use failed relationships to show others that there is always something to be thankful for. In life, we must learn to look for the positives instead of the negatives. Life's lessons teaching us that there is some good in every situation.
