[Masquerade Ball]

[Masquerade Ball]

A Poem by panheadpigments
"

Life becomes a masquerade ball, when everyone hides who they are.

"

You see, everyone has there own scars.

But hers keeps bleeding.

The blade continues to cut.

Into her thoughs feeding.

~

She screams for help,

her cries muffled by

the lies and truths of her past.

How long can she take this pain?

How long can they keep this up?

How long can this last?

~

Her wrists cry for relief,

she wants the blood on her hands.

Their mocking words,

echoing shouts,

Show where their trust stands.

~

Can she love noone?

Has her hate already won?

~

Her smile is an obvoius mask.

But at a Masqurade ball,

no one asks.

i really like your poem! i think it would more effective if you got rid of the tildes between each stanza and at the very end, instead of saying 'no one asks" i think "nobody asks" would be better =) i love the message of this poem, and what it says about the situation a person stands in when they don't believe in themselves.
