You killed her

You killed her

A Poem by Obubs
"

Wrote this after a bad break up, but my friends helped me through it.

"

You killed her

You killed her, inside and out.
She couldn't last, you wouldn't let her.
You shaped her love into a knife.
You killed her, she never stood a chance.
Your words a lure, bringing her closer.
She never saw the hole, too busy with your eyes.
Your smile, she couldn't resist.
You killed her, she didn't see it coming.
Ignored all the signs, the warnings.
She couldn't stop, the option wasn't there.
You killed her, but somebody else saved her.

You killed her, but somebody else saved her.

~ a perfect way to end a poem. Having go through a bad break-up is just like dying. The personification of being in love is to feel much more alive. But when things doesn't goes through, you feel like somebody has killed your heart. Many do feel those feelings. But what I've learned that going through something like this is part of learning how to be strong. And that's what I see in this piece, very nice.
