Many Moons Later

Many Moons Later

A Poem by Alskar

Of all cosmic wastes
And divine entities
I catch your thoughts
And listen not to
Spellbound notions
Of tropic nightly fancy
But to doubt.
Time is our supernova.
A spark in a shroud
Of shattered glass.
Burn for a sunny second
Then collapse.
Your hand is but a
Star on earth, to the sky.
And fingers atoms to
The breathing horizon.
They are my universe.
And yet, as many moons ago
They lose grip.
And my Saturn eyes freeze.

Great imagery and nice use of metaphor. I think my favorite line is "tropic nightly fancy". To me it really captures how things many humans think, say and do are merely copies and regurgitations of things long since done. They are history repeating itself.

Thanks for a nice poem. I wonder who made your Saturn eyes freeze? Or did I misunderstand?

Voila, la création poétique... Poetry should be the terrestrial mirror of the Deity which is reflected by the colors, the sounds and the rhythms... by all the beauties of the universe. And here I am finding that misplaced mirror, lingering inside your breathtaking words... Such an outstanding choice for the natural and terrestrial vocabulary. The description is utterly well-written provided with an inspirational imaginary...
"And fingers atoms to
The breathing horizon.
They are my universe. " ADORABLY PERFECT...
DIRECTLY, IN MY FAVORITE LIST.

"Burn for a sunny second" -I find this line Cute and Funny. :)
"And my Saturn eyes freeze. " -I also froze after this last line.

Very Creative in using the heavenly bodies :)
